The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) signed an agreement with Gumi City to host the 2023 Gumi Dodram Cup Professional Volleyball Competition, and professional volleyball and Gumi City reunited after six seasons.
The agreement ceremony held at Gumi City Hall on the 24th was attended by about 10 officials, including Secretary General Shin Moo-cheol of the Korea Volleyball Federation, Gumi City Vice Mayor Kim Ho-seop, Gumi City Council Chairman Ahn Joo-chan, Sports Council President Yoon Sang-hoon, and Volleyball Association President Kim Jin-hwan.
Through this agreement, Gumi City, as the host of the tournament, promised to provide various support, including the rental of Gumi Park Chung-hee Gymnasium, public relations for attracting spectators, and administrative work, and to cooperate with each other for the successful operation of the tournament.
Gumi City, LIG Insurance,메이저사이트 the predecessor of KB Insurance, was with the V-League as its home from 2005 to 2017, and this cup competition was held for the first time in about 6 years and 4 months since March 2017, the last game of the 2016-2017 season. As 37,000 spectators visited the 2022 Suncheon-Dodram Cup professional volleyball tournament, we hope that the feast of volleyball will continue in the tournament to be held in Gumi.
