At a middle school in Bundang, Seongnam-si안전놀이터, Gyeonggi-do, the police launched an investigation into an incident in which a student started a riot with a weapon in the classroom, saying he would harm himself.
According to the Bundang Police Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province on the 18th, a report was received at around 2:27 pm on the same day that “a student from middle school A is wreaking havoc in the classroom with a weapon.”
The police dispatched to the scene persuaded Group B to put down the weapon, and then accompanied him to a nearby police station. Fortunately, no victims came out.
Group B held a weapon in the teacher’s office and said, “I will harm myself.” When the teacher, who witnessed a fight between Group B and his classmate in the hallway, separated them, he became dissatisfied and acted like this.
However, it was found that he did not actually harm himself or wield a weapon at the teachers.
The police are ascertaining the exact circumstances of the incident.
Meanwhile, Middle School A is 1.2km away from the area where the ‘Seohyun Station Weapon Riot’ occurred on the 3rd, and is a 15-minute walk away.
