Lee Ho-hyun, who joined the ‘national team line-up’ KCC, “I have a separate role”

Can Lee Ho-hyun solve the problem of KCC’s lack of point guards?

Lee Ho-hyun, who graduated from Gunsan High School and Chung-Ang University, debuted in the 2014-2015 season. Since his debut he hasn’t been given many chances, but his last season was somewhat different. He had solid guards in the team, Lee Jung-hyeon (193cm, G) and Kim Si-rae (178cm, G), but he received many opportunities due to injuries to key players. And Lee Ho-hyun reciprocated.

He played an average of 20 minutes in the first round, putting up 7.9 points. After that, he struggled with an injury for a while, but recovered with an average of 10.9 points in the 5th round and an average of 8.7 points in the 6th round. His personal highest score was also updated to 23 points먹튀검증. In this way, Lee Ho-hyun recorded an average of 8.3 points, 2.7 assists and 2.2 rebounds, going back and forth between the bench and the starting lineup, and from average points to average assists and average rebounds, all were career high records.

Ho-hyun Lee, who had his best season, was rewarded this off-season. This is because he signed a free agency contract with KCC for 4 years and a total compensation of 240 million won. That’s how Lee Ho-hyun’s life at KCC began.

Lee Ho-hyun, who is having an adjustment period at KCC, said, “The team is adapting well. He got really close with the players. Even if I think about it, he seems to have adapted too quickly. (Laughter) Now I just need to be good at basketball.”

He continued, “Many players helped, but (Yoo) Byeong-hun and his older brother helped a lot. Byunghun hyung has been my roommate since Chung-Ang University. So he asked a lot of questions from his brother and received a lot of help from his brother.”

Lee Ho-hyun’s move to KCC was greatly influenced by KCC coach Jeon Chang-jin. Lee Ho-hyun said, “I showed myself by receiving many opportunities last season. Then, he became greedy for his sexuality. So he chose KCC. But the biggest reason is because of director Jeon Chang-jin. He said that the director really wants me. So he came to trust the director. In fact, there is no point guard on the team, so I have high expectations because I think I will be able to show my true self. The director also told me about that part.”

As Lee Ho-hyun said, KCC does not have a clear point guard. Song Dong-hoon (174cm, G) lacks experience, and Jeong Chang-yeong (193cm, GF) and Choi Jun-yong (200cm, F) are not orthodox point guards either.

Lee Ho-hyun said, “I think my role is separate. (Heo) Woong, (Choi) Jun-yong, and (Song) Kyo-chang-i want to give ‘delicious passes’ that can easily score. I just try to focus on what I can do. To do that, you need to get in sync with your teammates as quickly as possible. I want to be able to connect with each other just by looking at each other’s eyes.”

KCC, which recruited Lee Ho-hyeon and Choi Jun-yong, is selected as a strong back-end for the next season. In addition to the two players, Song Gyo-chang (200cm, F) will join the team after being discharged from the management. Lee Ho-hyun said, “With Jun-yong joining, I became a candidate for the championship. We are a composition that must win unconditionally. Everyone seems to think so. The players don’t even talk about the quarterfinals. (Laughs) Everyone just talks about winning. I am doing my best with that thought. Everyone is looking at one place with one mind,” he said, revealing his desire to win.
