Hanwha is scary! ‘Victory fairy’ Sanchez 4 wins & Kwon Kwang-min wedge three run… Conquered even the NC ‘three consecutive wins’

The Hanwha Eagles won 6-2 in the 6th game of the season against the NC Dinos of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League held at Changwon NC Park.

Hanwha won 3 consecutive victories with a 3-game winning streak, recording 26 wins, 4 draws and 37 losses in the season. On the other hand, NC, which lost 3 consecutive losses, had 35 wins, 1 draw and 29 losses. 

The home team’s NC is Park Min-woo 안전놀이터(designated hitter) – Seo Ho-cheol (3rd baseman) – Park Kun-woo (right fielder) – Jason Martin (left fielder) – Yoon Hyeong-joon (1st baseman) – Cheon Jae-hwan (center fielder) – Do Tae-hun (2nd baseman) – Kim Joo-won (shortstop) – Ahn Joong-yeol (Catcher) Shun’s starting lineup. 

In response, Hanhwa Lee Jin-young (right fielder) – Kim In-hwan (1st baseman) – Noh Si-hwan (3rd baseman) – Chae Eun-seong (designated hitter) – Moon Hyun-bin (center fielder) – Jeong Eun-won (2nd baseman) – Choi Jae-hoon (catcher) – Kwon Kwang-min (left fielder) – Lee Do-yoon (Shortstop) faced each other in order. 

Hanwha scored first in the third inning. Leader Kwang-Min Kwon went on base with a left-handed hit, and Do-Yoon Lee succeeded in a sacrifice bunt. Lee Jin-young gained momentum with an infield hit, and Kim In-hwan broke the balance of 0 with a 2-RBI first double. It was the moment when the final blow was struck. During the relay play, shortstop Kim Joo-won’s home throw error came out and Kim In-hwan moved to third base, and Noh Si-hwan widened the gap with an RBI grounder.

Hanwha starter Ricardo Sanchez won his 4th win (undefeated) of the season with 4 hits, 2 walks, 3 strikeouts and no runs in 5 innings. In the 3rd inning, he was hit in the left arm by Park Kun-woo’s assault ball, but he showed his fighting spirit to protect the mound until the 5th inning. This was followed by Yoon Dae-kyung, Jung Woo-ram, Kim Ki-joong, Nam Ji-min, and Joo Hyun-sang. Kwon Kwang-min stood out the most in the other lineup with 2 hits (1 home run) and 3 RBIs.

On the other hand, NC starter Widener suffered 2 losses (2 wins) of the season with 6 hits (1 home run), 5 runs, 2 strikeouts and 6 runs (5 earned) in 6 innings. Seo Ho-cheol and Kim Joo-won’s multi-hits were overshadowed by defeat.
