Changes in the location of spring camps for 10 KBO clubs due to weather variables… Arizona, USA, ‘7 teams → 4 teams’ decrease

The number of Korean professional baseball teams that will set up spring camps in the U.S. in 2024 has decreased significantly.

The 10 KBO League clubs, which have entered the break after completing their official schedule this year, have recently completed next year’s spring camp schedule and are waiting for their departure date.

The 10 clubs, which had been stranded in Korea for three years due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, headed abroad all at once this year when they entered the era of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among the 10 clubs, seven teams from SSG Landers (Florida, USA), Kiwoom Heroes, LG Twins, kt wiz, KIA Tigers, NC Dinos, and Hanwha Eagles (Arizona, USA) visited the United States.

However, as the weather in Arizona has gotten colder than usual due to climate change, three teams will move to other countries and only LG, SSG, NC, and Kiwoom will move to the U.S. next year. The training site will be the same as last year.

KT is the only team among the 10 teams that will hold its first training session in Gijang, Busan. KIA and Hanwha will depart to Canberra, Australia and Melbourne, Australia, respectively.

Three teams, Doosan, KIA and Hanwha, will set up camp in Australia, the southern hemisphere, which boasts a climate that is opposite to that of the northern hemisphere. However, the venues are different.

LG, NC, and Samsung will return home after training in Scottsdale, Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, and Okinawa, Japan, respectively.

Four teams will visit Okinawa Prefecture next year, which has been loved as a traditional secondary training site in the KBO League.

Five teams, including Samsung, which sweated heavily with KT, KIA, Lotte, and Hanwha from the first round, will elevate their sense of play to the Okinawa League. Doosan will develop its skills separately in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan.

SSG and Kiwoom are heading to Taiwan. Having failed to find a suitable training site in Okinawa Prefecture, SSG will try to regain sense of play in Taiwan’s Xi, while Kiwoom will try to regain sense of play in Kaohsiung.

Kiwoom will stop leaving the country on January 29, 2024, the earliest, and most teams will return home on March 6-7 to prepare for the exhibition game. 월카지노
