He scored his debut goal and re-signed with the club… “Sonny’s the best player, I look for him when I get the ball.”

Destiny Udoji, who recently signed a long-term contract with Tottenham Hotspur, has praised Son Heung-min.

“Udoji admitted that he loves playing alongside Tottenham captain Son Heung-min,” the British ‘The Boot Room’ reported on Thursday (June 14).

Udoji signed for Tottenham last summer after a one-season loan spell with Udinese, and joined the club this summer. Udoji immediately established himself as a key resource. With his trademark underlapping and attacking flair, he has developed into one of the best fullbacks in the Premier League (PL) beyond Tottenham.

He even scored his debut goal. Udoji started the 2023-24 PL Round of 16 match against Newcastle United on Nov. 11. He scored the opening goal. Udoji rattled the net in the 26th minute when he headed in a Son Heung-min cross from the edge of the box. On the day, Tottenham defeated Newcastle 4-1 to pick up three points. 월카지노

It was a celebration. Udoji signed a new contract with Tottenham shortly after the game. “We are delighted to announce that Udoji has signed a new contract with the club until the summer of 2030,” the club announced on its website on December 12.

He re-signed in a relaxed environment. “I’m really happy,” Udoji said. It’s a great pleasure for me to be at this club and I’m glad I’ve been given this opportunity. From the first day I came here, the players, the coaching staff and the whole club welcomed me and made me feel at home. Everyone at the club respects me, the players, and everyone else.”

Udoji also thanked Son Heung-min for his assist on his debut goal, telling ‘Spurs Play’: “Playing with Sonny and Dejan Kulusebski is really simple, because obviously Sonny is a top player and it’s very easy to play with him. When I get the ball, I try to find him. I think he does everything else, he gives me assists,” he said, giving a thumbs-up.

He was also asked some ridiculous questions. When asked if he thought he could compete with Son Heung-min for the Golden Boot, Udoji said, “No, I don’t think so. I think Son is on a different level,” he laughed.
