‘England’s third tier to Real Madrid’ dream transfer nears completion

English third tier side Reading’s Kieran Vickers is being linked with a move to Real Madrid.

According to English outlet The Sun, “Real have opened talks with the club over the signing of Reading’s Vickers in the January transfer window. A dream move is on the verge of being completed. Reading want £100m for the player with a sell-on clause.”

Vickers is a ‘superstar’ prospect from England. He came through the age groups at Reading’s youth system. In 2021-22, he was one of the top talents in the U-18 Premier League with five goals and five assists in 24 games. 캡틴토토

At the tender age of 18, he has adapted perfectly to the professional game. This season, he has started 18 games, including cup competitions, and has three goals and three assists to lead the team’s offense. His main position is attacking midfielder, but he can also play central midfield, flanker, and center forward.

This has attracted interest from several clubs. Last summer, Arsenal even made a move for him. At the time, the Express reported that “Arsenal sent scouts to Reading’s cup game to watch two players. Vickers and Bindon. Vickers has been in good form this season, playing in every league game.”

Real also expressed interest in signing Vickers. Looking to the future, Real set their sights on the England talent and moved quickly. Vickers is also interested in joining Real. If the deal were to go through, it would be a “dream move” from the English third tier to his “dream club” Real.
