Choo Shin-soo (41, SSG Landers) made a determined remark about Korean culture while mentioning the national team of the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC). Ahn Woo-jin (24, Kiwoom Heroes) also expressed his opinion on the fact that he was not listed on the national team.
On the 21st (Korean time), Choo Shin-soo appeared on ‘DKNET’, a Korean radio station in Dallas, Texas, USA, and talked about misunderstandings and the Taegeuk mark toward himself in the past.

He also made a statement about Korean culture along with the generational change of the national team.
He said of this national team, “I think I would have looked at the future. If I had looked at the future rather than the immediate performance, many (veteran) players should not have gone. I think a lot of new players should have been selected.” A lot,” he stressed.

He said, “I made (mistakes) when I was young. I repented of my mistakes and was punished with a suspension, but I can’t go to international competitions. There is something I want to say to you guys, just because you were born early and played baseball early doesn’t make you a senior.
