South Korea has sent 177 athletes, including 83 athletes (46 men and 37 women), to 17 Paralympics competitions. South Korea finished the competition with six gold medals, 10 silver, 14 bronze, and 22nd overall.

Korea aimed to win five gold medals in this year’s event, but achieved the goal by making successful performances in shooting (three golds), table tennis (two golds), and boccia (one gold). It is the first time in eight years that Korea has won more than six gold medals since the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.

The closing ceremony was followed by the introduction of six newly elected IPC athletes during the event. In Korea, Won Yu-min was elected, while Lenin Cunha (Portugal, track and field), Bradislava Kravchenko (Malta, swimming), Martina Kaironi (Italy, track and field), Tan Gujao (China, weightlifting), and Dennis Schindler (Germany, cycling) will serve as athletes for a four-year term.

The Paralympic flag was transferred to Los Angeles (LA), the venue for the next tournament.
