Hanwha Eagles outfielder Yonathan Peraza produced an unusual scene in which he vented his anger on the opponent’s bench after striking out during a game. It seems that the cause was an argument that occurred during a collision with KIA infielder Kim Do-young.
KIA won 4-3 at the match against Hanwha in Gwangju on Sept. 5. With the victory, KIA maintained its league lead with 77 wins, two draws and 50 losses during the season, reducing its magic number to 10.
Kia turned the game around with Lee Woo-sung’s timely double and Seo Geon-chang’s timely hit to come from behind in the bottom of the fourth inning when the team was trailing 0-1. Peraza advanced to second base when attacking at the top of the eighth inning. With a ground ball to third base, Peraza strongly collided with third baseman Kim Do-young.
