According to data submitted by Kim Seung-soo, a member of the National Assembly’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee, from the Korea Football Association on the 22nd, more than half of the 129 common data requested by the National Assembly’s stylists were filled with answers such as “Please understand that it is difficult to provide,” “We cannot unilaterally disclose it,” and “We cannot submit it due to personal information and confidentiality agreements.”

Asked in writing whether any president of the Korea Football Association ever attended as a witness to the parliamentary inspection, Rep. Kim said, “The Korea Football Association sent a response saying, “President Cho Joong-yeon was adopted and attended as a witness to Park Jong-woo’s Dokdo ceremony at the 2012 London Olympics,” but it was confirmed that no previous president of the Korea Football Association attended as a witness to the parliamentary inspection.

Representative Kim pointed out, “Procedural defects, unfair controversy, and passive response by the Korea Football Association in the process of appointing Hong Myung-bo as a coach of the national soccer team are causing public resentment,” adding, “The Korea Football Association’s uncooperative behavior, such as submission of poor data ahead of the National Assembly’s pending questions, is deceiving the people and the National Assembly.”
