The GS Caltex Seoul Kixx volleyball team succeeded in recruiting middle blocker Jeong Dae-young (42), who obtained FA qualification after the 2022-2023 season. The contract amount is 300 million won (250 million won in annual salary, 50 million won in options).
GS Caltex, for which reinforcement of the middle blocker was the top priority, succeeded in recruiting veteran Jeong Dae-young, who still has an edge in competition with junior players through thorough self-management and preparation, and succeeded in establishing a bridgehead for the growth of young players. GS Caltex has been able to prepare for the 2023 cup competition and the 2023-2024 V-League with veteran Jeong Dae-young.
Jeong Dae-young, who experienced two championships in the 2007-2008 season and 2013-2014 season as a member of GS Caltex, continued to play like Altoran even after transferring to Korea Expressway Corporation, contributing to two championships in the 2017-2018 season and 2022-2023 season. In particular, this season, he showed an active performance that forgot his age, proving that he is still competitive in height, such as recording 3rd place in blocking (0.769).
Jeong Dae-young said, “GS Caltex is like a family to me. He is so happy to be back at GS Caltex, and grateful to be able to continue playing volleyball on good terms. I will do my best to prepare well for the 2023-2024 season and achieve good results. I am grateful to the fans who always support me.”
