110 Billion Strikers to Replace ‘SON Top’? “Medical → Long-term Contract Until 2030”

Will Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League succeed in recruiting its main striker right before the opening of the season? Dominic Solanke, who has been rumored to be transferred to Tottenham since last season, is reportedly planning a medical test to join the team, drawing keen attention.

Global sports media The Athletic said on the evening of the 9th (Korea time), “Solanke is scheduled to undergo a medical test to transfer to Tottenham. Tottenham has agreed with Bournemouth for a transfer fee of 65 million pounds (about 110 billion won), and Solanke is expected to sign a six-year contract with Tottenham.”
Solanke is a proven striker who scored 19 goals in the league as a member of Bournemouth last season alone. As he signed a long-term contract with Bournemouth until 2029, the difficulty of his transfer was high. According to media outlets, however, Solanke had a clause on the amount of money he was allowed to transfer to certain teams (buy-out). It is believed that Tottenham triggered the deal. 먹튀검증

Regarding the transfer, media said, “Tottenham has not recruited a striker since the transfer of Harry Kane (Bayern Munich). Tottenham manager Enze Postecoglou is looking for a striker who fits his tactical style, and Solanke meets his demand.”

Looking back on Postecoglou’s remarks during the preseason, he added, “I emphasized that recruiting strikers is an important task because it is the thinnest position in the squad at the moment.”

Meanwhile, Solanke was a Chelsea youth, spent a loan spell with Pieterser before being released as a free agent and joining the Liverpool F.C. He played in only one official match for the Chelsea F.C. team and 27 matches for Liverpool F.C. However, he had only one goal during the period.

However, Solanke’s talent was still highly regarded, and Bournemouth invested a whopping 21.2 million euros (31.6 billion won) to recruit him. Since then, Solanke has displayed full-fledged talent as a member of Bournemouth alone, by scoring 28 goals and 12 assists in 113 matches of the EPL. His record in official matches at Bournemouth is even better, with 77 goals and 31 assists in 216 matches.

Meanwhile, Tottenham will start the EPL race with an away match against Leicester City on the 20th after a friendly match against Munich on the 11th.
