What is CBD Oil?

For a long time, cannabis was an absolute taboo topic. But with the promising drug CBD, a real trend has broken out. And this should continue to grow strongly in the next few years. However, there is a lot of confusion in the CBD world, not least the legal situation. Even with regard to the advantages of CBD, not everything is finally settled. Ever new studies, however, want to change that in the future.

What is CBD? The most important information shortly. CBD is an active ingredient of the cannabis seed Cannabidiol, according to the WHO, is safe and does not make one dependent

Effectiveness is very different from THC (no intoxication).

Scientists expect a lot from CBD. What exactly is CBD? Again, from the beginning: What is CBD anyway? CBD is the short form of cannabidiol. The CBD is one of the groups of it, which is organize in addition to other active components, such as flavonoids, in the cannabis seed.

Is CBD Oil Legal?

Is all adequately and good, but is CBD legal? This is admittedly a very difficult question. Because uniform enforced the whole thing in Western countries is not really. Manufacturers and users are therefore still in legal uncertainty.

While the cultivation, possession, and acquisition of cannabis plants with THC in Western countries are illegal, the situation at CBD looks very different again. Basically – so it seems – CBD products according to Annex I of the Narcotics Act may not have a higher THC content than 0.2% and could then be placed on the market. So an intoxicating effect would be excluded. However, this exception applies only in cases where the product with CBD serves a commercial or scientific purpose. These terms are regularly very high demands.

However, it is questionable whether this regulation only applies to unprocessed products such as CBD grass or processed products (for example CBD oil or CBD cream). In the case of the latter, the noise function would be excluded from such THC content. That is why some of the BtmG Annex I stipulate that processed products should be freely available for sale. However, lawyers also interpret this differently, as can be seen in different cases.

Top Benefits and Uses of CBD Oil

According to studies by different researchers, CBD could help with the following diseases:

  • dependency and withdrawal
  • anxiety diseases and post-traumatic stress disorders
  • arthritis and osteoarthritis
  • autism
  • depressions
  • epilepsy
  • skin disorders (such as acne)
  • cancer
  • multiple sclerosis
  • Parkinson
  • reduction of appetite
  • schizophrenia
  • sleep disorders
  • pain (inflammatory)

Although the positive influence of CBD is in some cases not finalized by studies

However, several research findings and also experiences of patients point to the effective properties of cannabinoids.

The cannabis boom brings new CBD products. As so often attracts a newly developed market, of course, an infinite number of providers, all of which also want to offer their own CBD product. It can be observed that the CBD boom has arrived not only in medicine or in the field of natural medicine, but moreover in the food industry.

Even Coca-Cola has been very interested in the cannabis demand in the past. We will see whether a CBD Cola is really put on the market. But there are also so many other CBD products, for instance as cosmetics. To generate the effective components are removed from the cannabis and then filtered into the final product.

Here is a list of the most popular CBD products:

  • anti-aging gel
  • cream
  • shower gel
  • capsules
  • crystals
  • body oil
  • Liquid
  • paste
  • ointments
  • oil
  • butter
  • biscuits
  • lemonade
  • pesto
  • chocolate
  • Shampoo

Of course, there are still numerous, several, various more products. What few people know is that the hemp fibers can even be utilized as the insulating material in homes, suitcases or car doors. Probably the best-known CBD preparation is the CBD oil (often called cannabis oil). It consists of a CBD extract of the female cannabis plant and is often mixed with a base oil (for example olive oil).

There are over 100 cannabinoids. Among the best known are certainly CBD (cannabidiol) and psychoactive THC (tetrahydrocannabidiol). These two compounds are present in the plant only in “acidic” form (CBD-A and THC-A).

More and more attention is being paid to more unknown cannabinoids, such as cannabigerol (CBG) or cannabichrome (CBC). In addition to cannabinoids, the plant also contains terpenes. These give each cannabis strain an individual flavor, but can also interact with cannabinoids.

The full range of potential uses of cannabinoids has not been fully explored. In this overview, we have analyzed the current research situation and summarized the possible modes of action of the most important cannabinoids.

The cannabis research is still in its infancy, mainly because of the long illegality of the cannabis plant. Even large pharmaceutical companies have so far put little money into cannabis research (after all, you can not patent herbal substances). It is scientifically undisputed that cannabinoids can sometimes have very positive effects on the health of a person.

Incidentally, the molecular structure of the plant is so complex that new cannabinoids are still being discovered today! What is the entourage effect? What doctors and researchers are excited about cannabis is that hundreds of organic compounds interact with each other.

The holistic mode of action of CBD or THC with other cannabinoids, terpenes or other substances is known as the entourage effect. It is believed that it is precisely this complexity that can most effectively influence the human body.

You should know these cannabinoids. Some will be surprised that you do not get high if you eat freshly picked cannabis. When cannabis plants are harvested raw, virtually none of the most famous and notorious of all cannabinoids – THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) exists.

Instead, a wealth of THC-A (tetrahydrocannabinoleic acid) is found in living cannabis plants instead of THC. We will come to the effect of THC-A in a moment.

Only through heat and light does THC-A convert to THC, thus altering the chemical structure. This process is called decarboxylation. After conversion, THC fits perfectly into our CB-1 receptor of the endocannabinoid system. There, THC can influence the central nervous system. An adjunct factor is THC “high” when consumed in appropriate amounts.

Does CBD help with epilepsy?

To understand how CBD works, we looked at what happens when putting up with CBD in the body. And how the various types of intake can decisively influence the duration and duration of the effect.

CBD comes because of its seemingly huge potential for various diseases (Focus reported) in the focus. Therefore, already the first attempts with cannabidiol in epilepsy were dared. Epilepsy patients are now wondering if they can benefit from the hype surrounding CBD and whether it will be of any use at all. You will find out in our article.

CBD in epilepsy – all in a nutshell:

  • studies indicate that CBD can alleviate and lessen seizures and falls in epilepsy
  • the precise mode of action of CBD, nonetheless, not clearly clear
  • some studies showed substantial modifications in CBD patients
  • side effects are rather weak, but may occur (diarrhea, somnolence, dry mouth in case of oil)

Does CBD help with sleep disorders?

Of course, CBD is far more from explored to the end. Nonetheless, additional and extra studies indicate that cannabidiol also positively affects our sleep because of its interaction with the body’s can affect. This could be of great advantage, especially for people with insomnia. Unlike other aids, cannabidiol is a natural active ingredient that does not cause any physical dependence.

One of the vastly widespread reasons for sleep disorders is suspicion and pressure. This ensures every night that you can fall asleep or not sleep properly. A bad nightmare in the fast-paced REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep phase, and it’ll wake you up. Rest for the soul and the body is of course not in the long run.

Another very important sleep phase for the body is the last stage of the NonREM sleep phase, which takes place immediately before the more familiar REM sleep. This is the deep sleep phase during which the brain waves are less active. However, our body is all the more busy in this section of sleep. It regenerates, strengthens the immune system and repairs the muscular tissue.

But what does that have to do with CBD? Well, several studies show that the endocannabinoid system has access to the sleep-wake cycle (and thus also to our sleep phases) and regulates it. And CBD, as a cannabinoid, works wonderfully with our endocannabinoid system. As recent studies show, CBD has a calming effect on the body, solves fears and can lower stress levels. That could already combat mild sleep disorders.

Does  CBD help with osteoarthritis or arthritis?

CBD in osteoarthritis and arthritis. There are no results yet. However, scientific studies show that CBD can relieve chronic pain and inflammation. Animal experiments on CBD in osteoarthritis and arthritis have already been successful.

A recent survey (2019) found that 54% of arthritis patients in the US have already had experience with CBD or medical THC. With promising results. What is arthritis and osteoarthritis? Osteoarthritis is the medical term of degenerative joint wear, it is also called joint wear. This damages the cartilage, which acts as a kind of shock absorber in the joint. That can be very painful. There are numerous causes of osteoarthritis:

  • Age-related wear
  • Overload at work or sport
  • overweight
  • wrong footwear
  • injury
  • deformities
  • Osteoporosis (bony deformity)
  • Other diseases

Osteoarthritis can occur on virtually any of the approximately 100 joints. The most commonly affected are joints that are subject to high stress, such as:

  • knee
  • hip
  • Shoulder
  • Wrists and fingers

Does CBD help with depression?

Although clear clinical studies (in humans) have so far been lacking, there are already promising indications of a possible efficacy of CBD in depression. In this manuscript, we reviewed the current study to improve your awareness of CBD in depression.

CBD in depression: researches suggest that CBD could stimulate hippocampal healing (neurogenesis). Both THC and CBD have been indicated to be useful in animal models of depression. In humans, however, this has not been investigated.

Gained experience on CBD in depression. Note: The experience of users of CBD in depression is always subjective. Each person may react differently and CBD may not replace any medical therapy. Experience with CBD in depression, of course, is not scientifically sound and can be partially fake or fake. Healing promises are excluded.

We read hundreds of reviews by Reddit and Quora from the US  on CBD in depression. The experiences of users were mixed overall. These are our impressions from the collected information.

Some users state that CBD helped them with depression. The effect is usually characterized as mild. It is frequently pointed out that CBD should be particularly effective for panic attacks and anxieties.

In part, THC is found to be more effective against depression than CBD.

Others also establish that CBD did not help in depression. Often it is then pointed out that CBD but would have had a pleasant relaxing effect.

Which symptoms have recession?

Depression is a mental disorder characterized by a number of different symptoms:

  • sadness, hopelessness
  • disinterestedness and joylessness
  • loss of appetite, eating disorders
  • sleep disorders
  • energy loss or fatigue
  • guilt feelings and low self-esteem
  • reduced concentration
  • recurring thoughts of death, dying or suicide

For example, the system controls the onset and transmission of pain, anxiety, mood, body temperature, and memory. For this communication from cell to cell messenger substances are distributed with information.

Mitigation of concomitants: as we noted at the beginning, migraine brings with it many unpleasant side effects. Fortunately, CBD can be used quite widely, which is why it could also be used for symptoms such as nausea or sleep disorders.

Does CBD help with pains?

Millions of people suffer from severe life restrictions due to chronic pain. Doctors sometimes prescribe strong medications that are often associated with side effects. Can CBD oil, which is non-addictive and has few side effects, be a serious alternative for pain?

We have spearheaded the spearhead of US scientific research and evaluated hundreds of customer experiences.

There is still a lack of comprehensive scientific studies. However, there is some promising evidence for efficacy of CBD in neuropathic and inflammatory pain.

CBD has anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties and could therefore contribute to the treatment of pain. CBD has the advantage over opiates that there are hardly any known side effects and does not make it dependent. How do you experience pain in the body? There are nociceptors in the human body – you could call them pain sensors. These nociceptors are located almost throughout the body – in the skin, in the blood vessels and in the intestines. The pain sensors can be imagined as receiving stations: if it is too warm, too cold or if the pressure becomes too great, the pain feelers register this. They then ensure that an electrical impulse is emitted.

Pain is a very complex mechanism. The most important pain systems are nociceptive (neurons in the body), neuropathic (nervous system), psychogenic (psychological reasons) and mixed pain (neuropathic and nociceptive). Pain is important to the body. They signal that something is wrong, that we should take care of our body or intervene. The classic example is the hot stove plate: the body registers the pain, electrical impulses are sent out and you withdraw your hand. The pain is therefore comparable to an alarm bell.

Side Effects Of CBD Oil

CBD also connects to nerve receptors. It does not develop a psychoactive effect. The endocannabinoid system: in order to learn about the mode of action of CBD in the body, one must take a closer look at the so-called endocannabinoid system. The ECS affects the nervous system by regulating numerous processes in the body. This works via so-called neurotransmitters (messenger substances), with which information is exchanged between nerve receptors.

Thus, the ECS controls the creation and transmission of sensations such as fear, pain, love, joy or restlessness. How does CBD work? The endocannabinoid system (endo = endogenous) can be influenced by chemical or plant substances, such as CBD. CBD docks on receptors of the nervous system and can thus regulate body processes decisively.

CBD and receptors: the “communication” between the nerve cells thus takes place via messenger substances. If the body is out of balance, messenger substances are released. Here, CBD can regulate the exchange of information.

The process can be compared to a circuit: The transmitter transmits a messenger, which receives the receptor. CBD can interrupt the “circuit” at the transmitter, at the receptor or on the way. If the sender emits the signal discomfort, injury can be alleviated by the blockade of the receptor. CBD can regulate the devotees receptors:

CB1 receptor (cannabinoid 1 receptor): These are located in the brain and intestine. They have an influence on discomfort, suspicion, difficulty, but also on learning processes and the musculoskeletal policy.

In addition, the proliferation of brain tumor cells can be inhibited. HT1A receptor: This is responsible for the adoption of serotonin, the “happiness hormone”. It affects depression as well as learning skills. By docking to receptors, CBD can animate the natural healing process. It supports the natural balance (homeostasis) through its multifaceted effect.

How To Use CBD Oil

You can also use CBD as a dietary supplement, i. as tea, gummi bears or as capsules egg

taken. Depending on whether it is taken on an empty or full stomach, the duration of action may vary. About the stomach, it can take about 1 hour until the effect begins. The advantage of this form of administration is that the effect can last the longest, between 6-8 hours. It is also recommended for people who do not prefer the slightly bitter taste of CBD oil under the tongue.

How does CBD work best? The CBD works best when it enters the bloodstream directly. This can be done intravenously or via the mucous membranes. In both cases, the effect starts almost immediately or within a few minutes.

CBD oil is sold in small bottles, which are usually provided with a pipette. So you can dose the CBD oil drop exactly. The best effect CBD oil receives after our experience under the tongue (sublingual). For this purpose, the appropriate dosage is applied directly from the bottle with the pipette under the tongue. If you have difficulty with it, you can also use a spoon, which must then be pushed under the tongue (which is somewhat unusual for laymen).

How Long Does It Take For CBD Oil to Work

Everything soon. CBD has no psychoactive effect. It docks on receptors in the nervous system and can thus regulate body processes.

CBD has the fastest effect when taken via the bloodstream (immediately to a few minutes). About the intake of CBD effects after about an hour. CBD works for 4-8 hours, depending on the quality of the product, dosage, route of council and individual body condition.

The effect of CBD on nerve receptors. The cannabis seed is a true marvel. It consists of over 500 plant substances. These contain 85 cannabinoids. Cannabinoids belong to the organization of terpene phenols. They have not been discovered in any other seed in the planet.

Cannabinoids can have very different pharmacological effects. The prominent cannabinoids are THC, THCV, and CBD. But other cannabinoids, very as CBG, CBC, CBN or CBL are also receiving increasing attention for their potential medical use. Surprising: Although the hemp plant has been used for centuries as a medicinal and food, the medical exploration of cannabinoids is however in its beginning. When in the 1940s, the effects of THC on the body were first explored more closely, it discovered nerve damage receptors. With these THC combines to develop its typical psychoactive effect. The most important receptors here are CB1 and CB2.

The most popular intake is the so-called sublingual intake under the tongue. For this purpose, CBD e.g. applied as an oil under the tongue. This is how the CBD works within just a few minutes. Even when smoking or vaporizing the CBD gets directly into the blood and works almost immediately.

Where to Buy CBD Oil Safe

One major legal issue discussed in the 10-hour session was on CBD-containing foods and cosmetic products. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a cannabinoid without psychoactive effect – in the US and also in Western countries and the United States of America, the substance is advertised as a panacea, as it has been shown to have antiepileptic and antipsychotic effects. Also, hormonally related skin diseases and tumors are treated in medicine with high-dose CBD. Due to its strong antioxidant effect Cannabidiol should effectively prevent diseases and support the purification of the body. Should healthy people take the substance in large quantities? At the June hearing, the FDA clearly wished to prohibit any addition of medication to foods, with reference to the fact that concentrated CBD should be used as a drug. In Western countries and the United States of America, concentrated CBD oil is currently available in every well-stocked pharmacy and is sold as an over-the-counter medicine.
